#LiftEveryVoice
Rooted in Community,
Centered in Service
Prince of Peace was established in 1970 as a center for service in the historic African American neighborhood of Warnersville in Greensboro, NC.
Two years later, alongside programs for youth development, housing, and social services, a worshiping community was born.
Now we are a multicultural, LGBTQIA+ affirming congregation with a legacy of raising up leaders, centered on African descent witness and service with our neighbors.

We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation which means we celebrate people of all sexual orientations and gender expressions.

Our Story

Prince of Peace was originally envisioned as a center for service in Warnersville after federal urban renewal leveled the neighborhood. Service with the community beyond our walls is part of our DNA.
