Our Story
Prince of Peace began in 1970 as a center for service in the Black heritage community of Warnersville, in Greensboro, NC. Two years later, alongside many community programs, a congregation was born that blends Lutheran theological tradition with the Black experience and Gospel-style worship, while keeping service with neighbors at its heart.
More than 50 years later, those are still the driving forces of Prince of Peace. We are a multiracial congregation in deep relationship with our neighbors in Warnersville, and we would love to welcome you!
